The first goal is to ensure that those attending the presentation return to their cities with renewed enthusiasm to organize Debian Day with their local communities. The second objective is to report on the work we have done in Brazil in 2024 and 2025, When we created a group of local organizers to jointly request financial assistance from DPL to cover the expenses in each city. The Debian funding was used to pay for coffee breaks, cakes, produce graphic materials such as banners, flyers, stickers, etc. I will show other cities can follow this idea and request assistance from DPL. Thanks to this work, we had a record number of Brazilian cities organizing Debian Day in 2025: 15.
