by Jochen Sprickerhof by Johannes Schauer Marin Rodrigues At: MiniDebConf Hamburg 2025 https://hamburg2025.mini.debconf.org/talks/9-using-sbuild-in-2025/ https://wiki.debian.org/DebianEvents/de/2025/MiniDebConfHamburg A lot of changes have happened in sbuild during the Trixie development cycle. In this talk, two sbuild maintainers will give an overview of how sbuild can be used in 2025. We will put special emphasis on the "unshare" backend which has since been rolled out on the Debian buildds. The talk will present what the unshare backend is, what its advantages are and how to use it for effective package development. The talk will include a Demo on how to use sbuild with the unshare backend, how to customize sbuild with apt-cacher-ng and how to run autopkgtests, piuparts and lintian locally. We'll give an outlook on what features we have planned for the Forky release cycle and are looking for your input and feedback. Room: Dock Europe Seminarraum Scheduled start: 2025-05-04 12:00:00+02:00
